FAQ

Questions we hear before every demo.

How long does a typical HMS implementation take?

A standard single-facility implementation takes 3–6 months. Multi-site or greenfield projects take 6–12 months. Timeline depends on module count, data migration scope and training requirements.

Can HMS integrate with our existing laboratory analyzers?

Yes. The LIS module has bidirectional interfaces for 300+ analyzer models via ASTM E1394 and HL7 v2.x. For unlisted analyzers, a custom interface is typically developed in 2–4 weeks.

Is HMS compliant with NPHIES and ZATCA Phase 2?

Yes. NPHIES eligibility, prior-auth and claims are built into the Insurance module. ZATCA Phase 1 & 2 clearance and reporting are built into Billing. Both are maintained by metaSOFT's regulatory team for each specification release.

Can we implement only selected modules first?

Yes. HMS is modular — most clients go live with Outpatient, Inpatient and Pharmacy first, then add LIS, RIS, and ERP/Financial modules in subsequent phases, typically 3–6 months apart.

What training and support does metaSOFT provide?

Role-specific training (clinical, administrative, financial, IT) is included. Go-live support includes 24/7 on-site presence for four weeks. Ongoing: a dedicated customer success manager and 24/7 helpdesk.

What infrastructure do we need for on-premises deployment?

metaSOFT provides a hardware sizing specification based on bed count, transaction volume and module selection. Cloud deployments require only a web browser and stable internet — no local infrastructure.
