Benefits

What your clinical team gains from day one.

Live inpatient and outpatient list

A real-time patient list spanning all wards, OPD clinics and emergency — with triage flags, bed numbers and pending task counts visible at a glance.

One-click order entry

Lab, radiology and pharmacy orders placed from a single CPOE screen — reaching the respective department worklist in real time without paper or phone calls.

Result inbox with critical-value alerts

All lab and radiology results delivered to the physician's inbox; critical values highlighted and acknowledged with a mandatory audit trail entry.

EMR documentation with template notes

Specialty-specific SOAP note templates, structured assessment forms and free-text dictation — all stored in the patient's longitudinal electronic medical record.

e-Prescription with drug interaction alerts

Electronic prescriptions checked against the patient's allergy profile, current medications and formulary before they reach the pharmacy — reducing prescribing errors at the source.

Handover and referral management

Structured handover notes generated from the active patient summary; referral letters auto-populated with diagnosis, medications and recent results for internal and external recipients.

Part of metaSOFT HMS

Physician Workbench is one of 20+ integrated modules on the metaSOFT HMS platform — one database, one patient record, one source of truth.

The Physician Workbench is the primary clinical interface through which doctors interact with the entire HMS. Every order placed here propagates immediately to the relevant department — the lab analyst sees it on the LIS worklist, the radiographer on the RIS queue, the pharmacist on the dispensing screen. There is no transcription, no duplication, no delay.

Results flow back automatically, so the physician never has to chase reports. Critical values trigger immediate notifications. When it is time to write a discharge summary or referral letter, the system pre-fills from the encounter data already captured, saving clinicians time without sacrificing documentation quality.
